Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is a Mexican musician who was born into a musical family. Her early years were spent listening to traditional music, boleros from the past in addition to the traditional ballads of ranchero and romance. Ana is a lover of the operas and tangos. Additionally, she enjoys the dramatic stage. She began singing and learning music with her mother, before beginning her vocal training when she was 16 working with the famous Mexican tenor Flavio Becerra. Music education was continued by the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and then to the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. In Guadalajara and Mexico City, she was an opera singer in numerous choruses and chamber ensembles. In 2000, she emigrated to the United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Later, in 2007, she relocated to her present home in Southern California. She is currently performing classical Latin American songs at private concerts as a singer. As a musician and teacher she's committed to numerous community projects because of her love as well as a love of music. Ana has also been previously a member of Community Chorus of Redlands as along with an active member of Inland Master Chorale and Performance Loft. Ana hopes that with her performance music from Latin American traditional songs, that she will instill a passion, particularly in the younger generations and keep the tradition vibrant.
